Resident Evil 5 Caps - Part 1

So I managed to get these done a little quicker than I expected (it's amazing what you can do by just spamming the cap buttons while the video is on mute and you're watching Chuck, orz) So I have the first batch of caps of RE5 done. I have a whopping 1,587 caps from chapters 1-1 to the end of 2-1. I was a bit of a moron when I set my program up for capping and had it save as .png so the resulting .rar file was so massive I had to split it in half to get it all uploaded, but it's up! And in the future capping I will try to make them a bit more manageable. Because honestly I won't stop spamming the cap button, I love having lots of caps :x

Okay, anyway a couple preview images under the cut. they're 1280x720 in size, and while they're going to look a little blurry (as is the way of most newer-gen RE games, the quality is horrible on larger videos) they size down VERY well, and can easily be used for layouts or icons. The icon I'm using right now, for example, was made with these caps.

I honestly don't care if you credit or not, but if someone asks you where you got the caps point them in this direction since the link needs to stay alive and it'd be nice to see more good icons within the RE community :x

and the file is split into two, you will need to download HJsplit in order to join them together, and WinRAR to open the file once you've got it joined.

While I appreciate your effort, I think something's wrong with your source video or the program you're using to cap. I agree that there is quite some blurring around at certain points, but I've made my own caps (and plan to post them, if there is demand) and looked for the exact frame as in one of your preview caps. Here's the result:

May I ask what source you're using for your videos and what program you're using for your caps?

It's the video. I plugged it into three different players to see if I got different results and they're all equally blurry. I got my videos from http://hcloud13.com/, who typically has the highest res videos around, since I haven't got the right cables to cap directly from my console.

Er, did you cap from the PS3 or 360 version? Because that could possibly be the difference.

Hm, that's weird. I think I capped it from the Xbox360 version. I used the videos from OmegaNemesis28 on Youtube. I just downloaded the HD version through Youtube video downloader. All videos together from OmegaNemesis28 are a little over 1 GB while each segment from Hcloud13 is almost 1 GB. The quality of Hcloud13's video should not be worse. I think I'm gonna download a segment and try to cap some.

:/ I just compared their videos on Youtube and the quality of Hcloud13's are worse, even in the hi res, and they're both 360, so I have no idea why the quality is blurrier.

Alright then, I'll get back to you when I've tried one of Hcloud13's videos, but it looks like OmegaNemesis28's videos are better indeed. If that's the case, I'll continue capping those but I could use some help on posting them as I'm quite new to Livejournal. Perhaps you would like to help? :)
