Hey guys! So I'm sure some of you have noticed that all of my icons have suddenly disappeared! Unfortunately, Photobucket has decided that they value money more than they value being an accessible image hosting service SO I am going to be looking into taking my icons elsewhere.

Imgur.com is probably the obvious choice, but I really liked Photobucket's interface in all the icons grouped on one page with easy URLs, plus leaving the image file name the same is a big deal for me, as I've been saving my icons a certain way for years to make it easier for people to remember who made them.

If anyone knows of any similar image hosting services like PB but that won't try to charge me 400 dollars a year just to externally link images, let me know! And icons will be back up once I find a place I am happy with!

Wow, that's really disappointing to hear about Photobucket. I've used them for years, and I can't think of a website that was more reliable for image hosting than they were.

This might be totally useless but recently I started using dropbox?

like okay admitedly the good thing about imgur is you can drag and drop into albums but i've never run a sight where i've needed to mass link them, so i can't preach on that. but dropbox might work, i've just started using it recently as a windows 10 attachment and i'm not sure if it's a trial or whatever but i'm... pretty sure it's free?

regardless, good luck. i've always been a big fan of your icons and hope you find a decent place to set up shop!

Imgur allows you to mass upload icon links a certain way, but I find that when I upload them to the site albums they do not load in order. Still, it's something to try! There are some suggestions in this plurk as well, but the extension it mentions doesn't restore any of your icons like the rest... I'm not sure why. :(

If you do find a good place to put them I'd love to see your icons again. I've seen journals with your Dragon Age and I so SO love the Dorian. Good stuff.

Also a note: if you do mass upload your icons to imgur and you want to use it for tables, you'll need to upload them, then go to images -> select all the icons from a batch, then turn the last drop down menu to generate image links. Then just make direct links and you're good to go. Just like I said, they won't be in order that they are in your files unless someone else has a way around it. Maybe uploading them in smaller batches might fix it? Unsure.
